There are different types of demand letters in Georgia. The most common demand letter is the Holt Demand Letter.  The Holt demand letter is a demand letter that gives the insurance company the opportunity to settle a claim for the amount of liability coverage that their insured carries. It is a time-limited demand letter, meaning the insurance company has 30 days to accept the demand. Other demand letters include Underinsured/Uninsured demand letters
